Carhartt FRC vs. 100% Cotton with Polyester Lining
Watch compelling video of an FRC jacket (style FRJ135) vs. a 100% cotton duck jacket with a 100% polyester lining (style J131) that shows how Carhartt FRC self-extinguishes once the source is removed; providing increased protection against severe burn injury and possible death. The test was conducted at a distance of 12", 3,000 volts, 8,000 amps and 40 cycles.

Carhartt FRC vs. 100% Cotton
This video confirms that 100% cotton clothing will continue to burn. Watch our FRC jacket (style FRJ135) vs. Carhartt's own 100% cotton jacket (style J138). Conducted 12" from the arc at 3,000 volts, 8,000 amps and 30 cycles.

NFPA 70E Hazard Risk Category 2
At 12" distance, 8,000 amps and 10 cycles, this video is an example of a typical NFPA-70E Hazard Risk Category 2 job (480 volt panel board). The first test shows how 100% cotton and a poly/cotton blend will continue to burn while the following two videos show each with an FR INDURA® Ultra Soft® shirt. See the difference between increasing your protection with FRC vs. wearing regular work clothes.
