Your Custom Embroidered LogoOne of the most important pieces of your business is your logo. It's your image, it's your brand, and it's your company's signature. We appreciate what it means and strive to make it look great.
Send us your logoGetting your logo to us is easy, just click here and attach it to this email email@example.com. We can read most formats, but jpg, tiff and eps files work the best. If you don't have it in one of these formats, send us what you have and we will do our best to make it work.
PMS colorsIf you know the PMS colors that make up your logo, great! That helps us a great deal. We will try our best to make a PMS match. Keep in mind, when comparing thread to ink there may be some variances.
Many people also ask us about use of colors. In the case where you desire the logo to be more subtle, you may choose a tone-on-tone effect for your embroidery. That is were the thread color used on the embroidered logo closely matches the garment color. The effect is subtle and classy.
If you wish to use different colors, please let us know. If you aren't sure what colors to use we will be happy to make some suggestions.
Digitizing is the process by which we tell our computerized embroidery machines where to sew each stitch in order to recreate a logo on a garment. When a logo is digitized, our experts use a computer program to accurately convert your logo into a system of stitches that the embroidery machine can read.
Recreating an image with needles and threads is different than printing it with ink on paper. We work very hard to make sure your logo looks just as it does on paper. However, because thread and material are less precise than ink on paper, some variations may be required. However, you will approve the image before it goes into production.
Cost to digitize is $60 if your order is less than 65 pieces, or free if you order is more than 65 pieces (up to 6,000 stitches). This is a one-time fee. Once it is done, we can generally use it for future orders with no additional cost. On occasion, we may need to rework the logo for a different application than what it was originally digitized for (i.e. a jacket back). We will never do this without your approval first.
Logo size once embroideredMaximum embroidery sizes are 4” high x 3.5” wide for a left chest and 2.5” high and 5.0” wide for a cap. Most embroidered logos fall within these size ranges. We will size your design appropriately based on our experience. Sometimes this can present a problem with small text; if so, you will be consulted before production begins. The size of many designs is dictated by the smallest text in the design.
Small textThe smallest text we can embroider with any accuracy is about .25” tall. We can make adjustments to your logo design to compensate for slight variations.
LocationA vast majority of logos are embroidered on the left chest of the garment. However, other locations are gaining in popularity such as the left sleeve, cuff, lower sleeve or the yoke (on the back under the collar).
We will discuss and confirm logo placement with you during the acknowledgement process.
ApprovalAfter we have your logo digitized, we will send you a picture of it for your approval. We will not begin production until we have your approval. That way you will know exactly what you are getting when your logo apparel arrives - no surprises.
Quantity DiscountsOur quantity discounts are based on the number of pieces in your order. Our discount includes shirts, hats and/or jackets. They are all included towards the quantity discount.
ReturnsEmbroidered items can be returned if the item is defective. In such cases, Contractor’s Clothing will replace the item at no cost. If you have any problems with products, you must notify us within 7 days of receipt of the order.
Garments that are embroidered cannot be returned for size issues.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mix different items for quantity pricing?Yes. Our quantity discounts are based on the number of items in your order. That includes every different style, color and size you order.
How long does it take?For new customers, orders of custom embroidered apparel are shipped within 7 to 10 business days after the order is placed. For current customers, orders are shipped within 7 to 8 business days from the date of the order.

Can I see my embroidered logo before production begins?Yes. A proof of the embroidered logo is provided for each new logo.
After the logo is set-up for embroidery, we embroider it on a piece of material and have you approve before we start production on your order.
Once the proof of the embroidered logo is approved, we will begin production of your order.
Proofs are provided only after an order is placed. We generally do not produce “spec proofs” prior to an order being placed.

What is the embroidered logo set-up fee?In order to transform your logo from a graphic image to an embroidered image, we must first take it through a set-up process to convert it into an image that can be created by the embroidery machines. Once we have done this set-up process, we will not have to do it again for future orders as long as the logo has not changed.

What if I want another logo embroidered on an item?There is an additional fee for embroidered second locations. If you want a second location embroidered the cost is based on the quantity as follows:
What if the items I ordered need different colors for the embroidery?There is no charge for changing colors of the logo to fit the item color. We do this everyday and on most every order.
Can I get my items personalized with names?Yes, there is a $5 fee per shirt for single line names, $9.00 for 2 lines.

Do you require a minimum order?No, but the more embroidered items you purchase, the more you save.
Can you match PMS colors?Generally, yes. There are more PMS colors than there are thread colors. Oftentimes we are able to match a specific PMS number or get very close.
If you require a PMS color match, please let us know at the time of order.
What are my payment options?
Credit CardsWe currently accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. Your credit card payment will not be processed until you have approved the proof of your embroidered logo.

Do you offer a guarantee?Everything we do and everything we sell is guaranteed. If we make a mistake or a product is defective, we will resolve it to your satisfaction immediately and without question.
